How we work
Source before story. We aim to start with primary material—research institutions, archives, original reports or direct documentation. We link relevant sources under each story.
Independent wording. Our articles are written for readers, not copied from source publications. We distinguish verified facts from uncertainty and don't invent quotes, findings or eyewitness accounts.
Images labelled. Stylised illustrations are not presented as documentary photographs. Any future sourced photo will need a checked licence and credit.
News has dates. Items from the latest desk have clear publication dates. We don't label older events as breaking or suggest that an automatically updated news feed exists.
Corrections welcome. If something needs fixing, email hello@offbeatbulletin.com with the article URL and supporting information. Corrections will be evaluated and significant changes noted in the article.
